Skool plans: there's only one — here's what it actually includes

Skool doesn't do tiered pricing. There's a free trial and a $99/month plan. Everything else is Stripe fees and optional third-party tooling. Here's the honest breakdown.

The 14-day free trial

When you create a new community, you get 14 days at full feature access. You can take member payments during the trial — Skool processes them, just doesn't bill you the platform fee until day 15.

The play most successful Skool launches run: build hype before launch, pre-sell 10-20 spots, start the trial on launch day, and finish the trial already net positive. After 14 days you owe $99/month or the community pauses.

Costs Skool doesn't talk about on the homepage

Two real line items beyond $99:

Stripe fees. 2.9% + $0.30 per US member payment. International cards higher. On a $50/month membership with 200 members ($10k MRR), Stripe takes ~$350/month.

Multiple communities. Each community is $99/month. Skool doesn't bundle. Five client communities = $495/month before any other tooling. Agencies feel this fastest.

No other Skool surprises. The platform fee is genuinely flat.

What most operators add to the Skool plan

Skool ships almost zero behavioural automation. Welcome DMs, churn-saver, comment lead extraction, member CRM — none of it native.

Most serious operators add a tool:

  • tools4skool. Free tier (1 sequence, 20 DMs/day, 1 account). Paid: $29 / $59 / $149 per month for Starter / Pro / Agency. Chrome extension that piggybacks your existing Skool session.
  • Skoot. Similar feature set, roughly double the price.
  • Custom Zapier. DIY for technical operators willing to wire it up.

For agencies running multiple client communities, tools4skool's Agency tier covers all clients on one bill — partially offsetting the per-community Skool fee.

Stop leaving DMs, churn, and revenue on the table.

tools4skool plugs the holes Skool ships with. Free plan forever, paid tiers from $29/mo.

Frequently asked

One. Skool has a single plan at $99/month per community after a 14-day free trial. No tiered pricing, no enterprise upsell, no per-seat fees. Whether you have 5 paying members or 5,000, the platform fee is identical. This is unusual in SaaS and is part of Skool's deliberate pricing philosophy — flat, predictable, not extractive.
