Skool tiered pricing? There are no tiers — just one flat plan

If you're searching for Skool pricing tiers, you're expecting the SaaS pattern most platforms follow. Skool deliberately doesn't. Here's what exists instead.

Skool has one plan, not tiered pricing

Skool charges $99/month per community. Flat. Unlimited members. Unlimited courses. Unlimited admins. No starter tier, no pro tier, no enterprise tier. Whether you have 5 paying members or 5,000, the platform fee is identical.

This is unusual in SaaS. Most community platforms have tiered pricing — Circle ranges $89-$399, Kajabi $149-$399, Mighty Networks $41-$179. Skool is the outlier.

Why Skool doesn't tier its pricing

Sam Ovens has been public about this. The thesis: tiered pricing creates artificial feature-gating that frustrates customers. Charging $99 for everything means features don't get gated for revenue reasons. The product is the same for everyone.

The trade-off: feature scope is narrower than tiered competitors. Kajabi at $399 includes email funnels, landing pages, and automation that Skool doesn't ship at any price. Skool's bet is that opinionated minimalism beats feature-bloat.

How Skool costs scale across community sizes

Small (50 paying members at $30): $1,500 MRR. Skool $99 (~6.6%). Stripe ~$53. Total tooling cost ~10% of MRR.

Mid (200 paying members at $50): $10,000 MRR. Skool $99 (~1%). Stripe ~$350. Total ~4.5%.

Large (1,000 at $50): $50,000 MRR. Skool $99 (~0.2%). Stripe ~$1,755. Total ~3.5%.

The flat fee is the scaling lever. At small scale Skool feels expensive; at large scale it's nearly free as a percentage of revenue.

Where you find tiered pricing for Skool ops

Add-on tooling is where tiers exist. tools4skool has free, $29 Starter, $59 Pro, $149 Agency. Tiers are based on automation depth (1 sequence vs unlimited, basic vs multi-condition, single account vs multi-account).

Skool itself stays flat. The ecosystem layers tiering on top. This is consistent with Skool's product philosophy — keep the platform simple, let third parties handle the operational layer creators want to scale.

Stop leaving DMs, churn, and revenue on the table.
