TL;DR
Download: search "Skool" on the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). The app icon is a black square with a white "S." Tap install. On web, just go to skool.com — no download required. Login: same on both. Open the app or skool.com, tap Login, enter the email tied to your account, then either type your password or click Login with Google if your account is Google-linked. If login fails, the most common causes are: wrong email (check which one you used to sign up), expired Google session, or your community owner removed you. Skool.com has a password reset link on the login screen that works in seconds. There's no separate "download" of skool itself for desktop — the web version is the desktop version. Power users running paid communities often pair skool.com with the tools4skool Chrome extension for DM automation and member exports.

Download the skool app
On iPhone: open the App Store, search "Skool," look for the publisher "Skool Inc" or "Skool." The icon is a black square with a stylized "S." Tap Get, authenticate with Face ID or your Apple password, and install. The download is small — under 100MB.
On Android: open Google Play, search "Skool," install. Same icon, same publisher.
On desktop: there's no native desktop app. Skool runs in any modern browser — Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge. Go to skool.com and log in. If you want a desktop-app feel, use Chrome's "Install app" option (in the address bar's overflow menu when you're on skool.com), which creates a standalone window that behaves like a native app. Same login, same features as the web version.
- 1Download the app
Search "Skool" on the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). Install the one with the black-and-white "S" icon, published by Skool Inc.
- 2Open the app or skool.com
On mobile, tap the Skool icon. On desktop, go to skool.com in any modern browser. You'll see a landing screen with Log In and Sign Up buttons.
- 3Tap Log In
Enter the email you used when joining a skool community. If you used Google, click Continue with Google instead and pick the matching Google account.
- 4Enter your password
Type your skool password and hit Continue. Or, on the Google flow, you'll skip this step entirely. You're now logged in.
- 5Pick your community
If you're a member of multiple skool communities, the home screen shows all of them. Tap the one you want to enter. Your login covers all communities — no per-community auth.
- 6Recover if it fails
If login doesn't work, click Forgot Password and reset using your email. If reset doesn't arrive, you signed up with a different email or via Google. Try alternates before contacting support.
Log in to skool (web or app)
Open the app or go to skool.com. The landing screen shows two big buttons: Log In and Sign Up. Tap Log In.
Enter the email you used when you joined a skool community. Type your password. Hit Continue. You're in.
If you have multiple skool communities, the home screen shows all of them. Tap one to enter that community. Your login session lasts about 30 days on web (longer if you check "Remember me") and stays persistent on the mobile app until you log out manually.
The single login covers every community you're a member of. There's no per-community login. If you can't see a community you expected to see, that means the community owner removed you, your subscription lapsed, or you joined under a different email.
Login with Google
Skool.com supports Google sign-in. On the login screen, click "Continue with Google." Pick the Google account you used to sign up for skool. If your Google session is active in the browser, you're in within 1-2 seconds.
Important: if you originally signed up with email-and-password and then later try to log in with Google using the same email, skool.com may treat them as separate accounts depending on timing. If that happens, log out, hit "Forgot password," reset the email-and-password account, and use that going forward. Or contact skool support to merge.
Google login is the fastest path on the web. On mobile, the in-app Google flow is also fast but sometimes opens a separate browser tab — that's normal.
What to do if login fails
Most login failures fall into a small set: wrong email (you have multiple email addresses and used a different one to sign up); password was changed and you don't remember; your subscription expired and the community auto-removed you; the owner removed you; your IP got flagged for unusual activity (rare).
Fix order: First, try "Forgot password" with each email you might have used. If a reset email arrives, that's the right account. If no email arrives at all, you didn't sign up under that email. Second, if reset works but you can't see the community, the owner probably removed you — DM them outside skool to ask. Third, if Google login fails, try email-and-password to check whether the issue is Google specific or account-wide. Fourth, if nothing works, contact skool support through the help link in their footer.
After you're in: what's worth doing
Set up your profile photo and bio — communities with leaderboards reward active members, and an empty profile makes you invisible. Turn on email notifications for the communities you care about; turn them off for the ones where you only want passive access.
If you're an owner running a paid community, this is also when you'd install tools4skool. It's a Chrome extension that adds DM automation, member CSV export, comment mining, and a 60-second churn-saver DM. It uses your existing skool session, so no extra login. Free plan covers a single sequence and 20 DMs/day; paid tiers start at $29/mo. The early-access form is at https://forms.gle/AtyW7Nq7Qtjk8JTo6 if you want in.
Stop leaving DMs, churn, and revenue on the table.
tools4skool plugs the holes Skool ships with. Free plan forever, paid tiers from $29/mo.
