Skool plugins: what exists, what doesn't, and how to extend Skool

Here's the honest landscape: what doesn't exist natively, what does in third-party tooling, and how to pick something safe.

Native plugins — Skool ships none

Skool has no plugin or app marketplace. There's no equivalent of WordPress plugins, Shopify apps, or Slack apps. The platform is a closed shell.

The API is undocumented and reverse-engineered. Webhooks exist for some events but aren't broadly published. There's no native Zapier app. This is intentional — Skool's product philosophy is opinionated and narrow rather than extensible.

Third-party tooling that fills the gap

A small ecosystem of third-party tools exists, mostly Chrome extensions that piggyback your existing logged-in Skool session. Common categories:

  • Automation — triggered DMs (welcome, churn-saver, behaviour-based)
  • Analytics — pull engagement and churn metrics into a real dashboard
  • Lead capture — extract emails and signals from comments by non-members
  • Member export — richer CSV than Skool's native export
  • Bulk DMs and segmentation

Quality varies. Some are early-stage hobby projects that break when Skool ships UI changes; some are actively maintained and fix breakage within hours.

How to pick safely

Three checks before installing any Skool extension:

1. Maintenance signal — when did the developer last ship an update? Anything older than 60 days in this niche is a red flag. 2. Permissions — extensions that ask for your Skool password directly are sketchy. Reputable ones piggyback your existing session and never store the password. 3. Vendor channel — do they have a website, support, and a clear contact? Random unbranded extensions are a no.

If the extension breaks the week you need it most, you've burned the time you saved.

tools4skool — the extension we built

tools4skool is the Chrome extension we built specifically for these gaps. It piggybacks your existing Skool session — no password ever stored — and adds:

  • Auto DM Sequences with multi-condition triggers (AND/OR), image DMs, member tags + CRM pipeline auto-synced
  • Churn Saver — fires recovery DM within 60 seconds of cancellation
  • Churn risk scores — flags cold members before they leave
  • Inbox tools — slash commands, unreplied filter, scheduled posts, post-now button
  • Comment Miner — extracts leads from non-member comments
  • Member Export (CSV), Analytics dashboard, Keyword Monitor, Pipeline (Kanban), DM Blast

Free tier covers basic welcome automation; paid tiers $29/$59/$149 per month for the rest. Real proof point: Kate Capelli — "$59/mo → $4,000/mo more in 2 weeks; 7,000% ROI".

Stop leaving DMs, churn, and revenue on the table.

tools4skool plugs the holes Skool ships with. Free plan forever, paid tiers from $29/mo.
