TL;DR
Skool n Job Toulouse is the Haute-Garonne edition of the regional youth employment forum and usually the biggest of the series. Free, walk-in, aimed at under-30 jobseekers — alternance candidates from BTS up to Bac+5, recent graduates, Mission Locale-tracked young people. Toulouse's exhibitor mix is the most diversified: aerospace (Airbus and its dense subcontractor ecosystem — Latécoère, Daher, Liebherr, ATR, Sopra Steria's aerospace verticals), IT and engineering services (Capgemini, Atos, Sopra Steria, plus Toulouse's startup scene), healthcare (CHU de Toulouse, Oncopole, IUCT), public sector (Toulouse Métropole, Région Occitanie, ministries), retail and services, and a strong higher-education alternance presence. Date and venue change yearly — confirm via Mission Locale Toulouse and the Métropole's youth services.

What the Toulouse edition covers
Toulouse is France's fourth-largest city and the European centre of the aerospace industry. That single fact reshapes the entire fair. Where Narbonne is heavy on viticulture and hospitality, Toulouse is heavy on technical alternance — BTS Aéronautique, BTS CIRA, BTS SNIR, DUT GEII, engineering school programs from INSA, ISAE-SUPAERO, ENAC, IPSA, and the Université Toulouse III Paul Sabatier. Subcontractors recruit constantly because the aerospace cycle creates persistent demand. IT services is the second large bucket — Capgemini, Sopra Steria, Atos, Akkodis, plus a growing scaleup scene around the Cité de l'Espace and the Montaudran innovation district. Healthcare and public services round out the steady demand. The fair is also one of the few places where you'll meet civic service operators, the gendarmerie scientifique, and ministry recruitment in the same hall.
Who exhibits in Toulouse
Employers: aerospace primes and subcontractors, IT services groups, engineering consultancies, large retail (Carrefour, Leclerc, Decathlon), healthcare (CHU, Oncopole, polycliniques), public services (Mairie de Toulouse, Toulouse Métropole, Région Occitanie, ministries with deconcentrated services), banking and insurance (BNP Paribas, Crédit Agricole, Groupama), and a sprinkling of scaleups. Training centres: CFA Aerospace, AFPI, AFORP, Lycée Roland Garros, INSA Toulouse, ISAE-SUPAERO, IPSA, IPESUP, plus the universities' alternance services. Public partners: Mission Locale Toulouse, France Travail (with several specialised teams — cadres, jeunes diplômés, alternance), Garantie Jeunes, civic service, CIO, APEC, and the army recruitment cell. EURES often has a cross-border stand.
Venue and getting there
Toulouse uses larger venues than the smaller editions. The Parc des Expositions de Toulouse at MEETT (the new exhibition centre near Aussonne, opened 2020) is the most common host for the bigger editions, accessible via the dedicated MEETT shuttle and the metro line A extension. Smaller editions land at Diagora Labège or the Centre de Congrès Pierre Baudis in central Toulouse. Public transport: Tisséo metro, tram, and bus cover all venues; MEETT has a long shuttle run from Toulouse-Matabiau station. Plan 3–4 hours if you want substantive conversations — Toulouse editions get crowded and queues at the popular aerospace stands eat time. Confirm date and venue 4–8 weeks ahead via Mission Locale Toulouse, Toulouse Métropole, or the Région's me-former-en-region.fr portal.
How to prepare for it
Print 20+ CVs, versioned by sector — one for aerospace, one for IT, one for services. Toulouse aerospace and IT recruiters are technically demanding: prepare specific examples of projects, tools, languages, certifications. Bring a printable portfolio if you have one (a short PDF of your best stage report or project counts). Have your dossier de candidature elements ready — relevés de notes, lettre de motivation drafts — because some employers will pre-screen on the spot. English matters for aerospace and IT roles in Toulouse more than anywhere else in the regional series; even basic conversational English on top of fluent French gives you a real edge with international employers. Permis B and willingness to work near Aussonne, Blagnac, or Colomiers is useful — most aerospace sites are on the western edge of the metropolitan area. Email follow-ups within 48 hours, every time.
