Skool for PC: the working setup

PWA install in Chrome or Edge gives you a taskbar icon and a dedicated window — that is the closest you get to a native PC app.

There is no Skool installer for PC

Skool publishes mobile apps for iOS and Android, and a web app at skool.com. There is no Windows installer, no Microsoft Store app from Skool Inc., no .exe download from skool.com.

Third-party wrappers exist — some sites offer Skool desktop installers that bundle skool.com inside an Electron shell. These are not official and can break with Skool updates. The supported path is the browser.

Use Skool in your browser on PC

Open Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Brave. Go to skool.com. Sign in with your usual credentials.

Browser choice for PC:

  • Chrome: best extension ecosystem (tools4skool runs here).
  • Edge: better Windows integration, similar PWA support.
  • Firefox: works for browsing; PWA support is weaker.
  • Brave: Chromium-based so extensions install fine; privacy mode may strip cookies more often.

The session lasts weeks. Bookmark skool.com/login for fast access. Members do everything they need from the browser; owners do admin work here too.

Install Skool as a Progressive Web App on PC

PWA install in Chrome or Edge gives you a taskbar icon and a windowed Skool experience.

Chrome: three-dot menu → Cast, save and share → Install page as app. Edge: three-dot menu → Apps → Install this site as an app.

The PWA window has no browser chrome around it — looks like a native app. Push notifications fire through Windows' notification center. To uninstall, right-click the app icon → uninstall, or remove via Settings → Apps.

Owner workflow on PC

For Skool community owners, the PC is the primary workspace. Configuration, billing, course tab editing, analytics, and automation all live on the web.

The automation layer for paid communities at scale: tools4skool installs as a Chrome extension on Chromium browsers. It piggybacks your existing skool.com session — no password stored — and adds:

  • Auto DM Sequences with multi-condition triggers.
  • Churn Saver firing within 60 seconds of cancellation.
  • Comment Miner for lead capture.
  • Slash commands and unreplied filter for the inbox.
  • Member tags + Kanban CRM.
  • Member CSV export.

Works identically across Windows builds, hardware brands, and Chromium-based browsers.

Stop leaving DMs, churn, and revenue on the table.

tools4skool plugs the holes Skool ships with. Free plan forever, paid tiers from $29/mo.

Frequently asked

Skool's product team chose to ship the platform on the web and mobile only. Native PC apps add maintenance overhead with little payoff — modern browsers render skool.com cleanly and PWA install gives a desktop-app experience for free. There is no announced plan to add a PC installer.
